Election Voting

No election currently open

There is no live ballot right now — Executive Committee elections are held at the Election AGM, once every two years. This page will hold the secure ballot when one is open; until then, here is how the process works.

Not every seat is filled the same way (Art. 4.1(c)). The 15 Committee Member positions are open-nominated from the general membership and decided by secret ballot at the Election AGM — that's the process below. The 6 Office Bearer positions (President, VP, General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer) are filled internally by sitting EC members who've completed at least one term, and are simply introduced — not re-voted on — at the Election AGM.

The Nomination Committee is 5 members: the Immediate Past President (Chair), 2 EC members not seeking re-election, and 2 ordinary members. When a sitting Vice President is the default Presidential candidate, Addendum B's own pre-qualification checkpoints (Day −180, −90, −60) run ahead of this timeline — see the About page's governance section for details.

Voting & disputes (Addendum A.5 & A.6)

  • Secret ballot, overseen by 3 neutral Election Officers
  • Voting methods: in-person, notarised proxy, or electronic
  • Count begins immediately after voting closes; results announced within 4 hours
  • Complaints: lodge within 24 hours of results; Nomination Committee investigates within 7 days; EC issues a final decision within 14 days (remedies include a recount, re-run, or disqualification)
