MBA Kelaniya Alumni Association
Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies

A network founded in 2017, on a programme running since 2005.

How the Association is governed, who runs it, and where to find the documents that make it official.

In 2005, the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies at the University of Kelaniya launched its Master of Business Administration programme, with academic support from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow — opening its doors to working professionals seeking to lead better. Twelve years later, on 10 September 2017, twenty-one of those graduates decided their learning was too valuable to leave in the classroom, and formed the MBA Kelaniya Alumni Association. What began as a small circle is now a network of leaders across enterprise, government and civil society — in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Mission, vision, purpose & promise

What the Association exists to do, in the exact words of the Brand Guidelines v2.0.

Mission

To connect Kelaniya MBA graduates into one trusted leadership network — one that sharpens their thinking, multiplies their influence and turns what they know into measurable impact for enterprise, government and society in Sri Lanka.

Vision

To be the leadership network Sri Lanka turns to when decisions matter.

Purpose

An MBA should not end at graduation. Its value should compound for life — for our members and for the country.

Promise

Join us, and you will never lead alone.
